My newest series, “Sticks & Stones,” explores my adolescent times, which has been an influence on the foundation of my life. I share some of my first memories in the series, which impacted my childhood journey. The moments, my first snow day, a commitment to my faith, and fun celebrations are not merely milestones in my life. They represent the pebbles building upon each other, influencing and impacting the person I am today. Society creates an expectation of important milestones one must “hit,” but none are as important as the ones we create ourselves.
